  • I gave the money to my mother. She has been there for me my whole life. She has always worked until about 2 years ago & had to retire early. She has health problems. She has given to me when she had nothing to give. We have ran into a few personal problems lately & we aren’t as close as we used to be or should be. When I gave her the envelope, we are still kinda walking on eggshells around each other, but I said to her as I handed it to her….God chose you! I felt in my heart that she needed it. She said that God had planted a seed….She cried, I cried. I said I give this to you in His name. She knows my situation with my finances & said that I needed it. I said God knows my needs & he knows yours & I feel like God wants me to give this to YOU! She accepted & hugged me & told me that God has great plans for me!

  • Not alot of people know, but me and steven are becoming foster parents. i met cassandra lee of nettleton (a foster mother herself), and her two teenage sons. they realize that when foster children come into peoples homes they usually dont have any belongings. they started a cause called jayce’s cause. so i decided that is where i should give. they provide things such as shampoo, toothbrushes, books, hairbrushes, ect. they are just getting this going so they need all the help they can get. i think what they are doing is trully wonderful. god is gonna bless them well!

  • At work Saturday, a lady Ms.Bobby, was filling in for our cook. She was so happy to be working. She said she was only getting 15 hours of work a week.So I gave her my envelope. I Explained what we were doing. She didn’t want to take it at first. But I told her what a blessing it would give me to help her. I invited her to come to church.

  • I give my money to a friend of mine at work. She doesn’t exactly live a traditional life style. But that’s o.k. I love her anyway and I know Jesus does to, She has a senior in high school (we all know how expensive that is) and has had some other financial problems to. I know if her and her family would visit our church one time their lives would be changed forever.

  • It is hard to say this, but this was not as easy as I thought that it would be to do. Because you want to find someone that really needs some help, but I found a cause that seemed to call to me to help. Jayce’s Cause, a group that helps new foster kids to get the simple things that we need to get a new start. We are in the first steps to become foster parents and have found out that they need a lot of things to start.

  • We agreed that our money needed to go to a family who is giving out of what little they have. They are giving not only of their money but their time and love to help a child in need. We never realize that it only takes a small gesture to make a big impact in someones life. After I gave the money that was given me to someone in need it made me think that I needed to be giving from my own money as well. I was inspired to match that gift and will be making a second trip to give of my own money to help this very sweet family as they help this child in need!!!!

  • I was driving down the street and saw a lady walking with the aid of a walker. She also had a physical deformity. I smiled and waved at her and she returned the gesture. As I drove down the street God convicted me to go back, so I drove around the block. I asked if she wanted a ride but she insisted she could make it to her house alone. I asked her if I could give her something and she accepted the money. When I told her that God had laid it on my heart to share this with her, she immediately opened up telling me some personal things. She blessed me in the end.

  • We gave our money to the community to lend a helping hand to those in need. There are so many people here in Amory that need help, When I am in stores or with my grandchildren, I meet friends that are having trouble. I try to remember to write their names down so we can pray for them. I also try to keep some LifePointe cards in my purse to share with others. Prayer is powerful!

  • Rob your thoughts on giving have inspired me and have really placed God’s heart in me. Tonight I was running late to the Pointe waiting on my RX at Wal-Mart and a elderly lady came up to pick up her RX and she came up 30 dollars shot and God broke my heart for this woman and I found myself paying for her RX. She was so overwhelmed that we stood and talked and was blessed with a chance to share the Gospel of Jesus with her. As I was leaving the guy behind the counter said that was the most awesome thing he had ever seen. I just wanted to say thank you for letting God use you to change me.

  • One of my co-workers was seriously injured in a house fire at 2:30 a.m. this morning (Feb 24.) Story is, he thought his grandkids were still in the house (which they weren’t) so he went back in after them and suffered serious burns as well as smoke inhalation and heat damage to his lungs. A supervisor at work told me that he had to be recuscitated twice before being sent to Tupelo to stabilize him for a flight to a burn center in south Mississippi. The house and everything in it was totally destroyed. You can see the pictures on monroe360.com. I had still been waiting for opportunity to give my $10 and I couldn’t think of anyone who would need it more right now. His name is James Pulliam and I hope everyone will keep him and his family in their prayers.

  • My husband and I passed our gift from LifePointe Church on to Save-A-Life. We feel this, along with other donations, will enable Save-A-Life to buy something that will help babies and their mothers.
