LifePointe Partners with Ministry in Mexico

Oct 31, 2010   //   by Rob   //   LifePointe News  //  Comments Off

Watch the video and then read on for more details.

LifePointe Church is proud to partner with Highways and Hedges Ministries in Creel, Chihuahua, Mexico. Ryan, Shelly, Monica, and Melena Maness work among the Raramuri (Tarahumara Indians), an Indigenous tribe of northwest Mexico providing clean drinking water through water wells and systems and other life improving projects in the surrounding villages and communities. You can visit their website at http://www.downinmexico.org/newsite/.

We are partnering with them to build a church/multi-purpose building in the village of Yaguirachi. You can read more about Yaguirachi by clicking here: http://www.downinmexico.org/yaginfo.html. We are excited to be in partnership with the Maness’ in this project.

On Sunday, November 21, 2010, we will take a church-wide special offering to finance the project. By drinking one less soda a day, eating out one night less a week, and renting one less movie a week, we can take that money and completely pay for a new church building for the people in Yaguirachi! Start saving now and we WILL make this happen.

If you cannot be with us and want to help support this project, send your check to:

A Blur

<<First Name>>, hasn't this week flown by? Hasn't this year flown by? Can you believe it's less than three months until Christmas?

It seems like our life flies by in a blur. That's why you should make sure and be at our Worship Service this Sunday morning. Get with God's people, worship the Lord, and let Him speak through His Word. Let Sunday be the day you slow down and get some perspective on time. After all, no matter how fast time seems to slip by, we've got eternity still ahead!

New Sermon Series Begins October 10

"How would you live if you knew you only had 30 days to live?"

Our latest sermon series, "30 Days to Live," begins Sunday, October 10. There will be invite cards in the bulletins Sunday and at the welcome desk. This could be the most important series we've done at LifePointe. Start telling your family and friends today.
