Real
Quick, <<First Name>>, what's the first thing that comes to mind when looking at this picture? Anything? Good? Bad? Indifference? Sadness? What emotion does the scene draw from you?
On Sunday nights we've been studying the book of Romans. So much of Romans is rich in doctrine and the deep things of God.
Depth. Meat. Big words. Theological discussions. What Christian doesn't like to get into this type of stuff.
But then we hit Romans 12:9-21. What happened to the "good" stuff? Why mess up our great discussions with all this earthly stuff? This shallow stuff? Take me back to the deep theological things please!
Ah, but there's the crux of the matter. The deep, meaty stuff of theology is about real life. If our theology is not changing our real lives and the ways we respond to others, then, think about it, do we really believe that deep stuff?
If theology is only increasing your knowledge, but not changing your life, do you really believe what you know?
Just keeping it "real."

There's never a dull moment at The Pointe! The Pointe meets every Wednesday night. All students, 7th grade and older, are invited.
The Pointe meets every Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm. Last Wednesday night was huge. Don't miss this The Pointe this week.

Jars of Clay and Brandon Heath will be in concert at The Orchard in Tupelo, November 13. Tickets are $15 each.

KidzPointe is our grades 1-4 ministry and TweenPointe is our grades 5-6 ministry.
Wanted: Teachers for younger children on Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday nights. This is a great ministry to get involved in. See Tisha Young or Rob Westbrook if you want to be part of see young lives changed by God.

Secret Church: September 24 – 8:00 pm
We're having our next Secret Church Friday, September 24, from 8:00 pm until. What is Secret Church? It's a time of Bible Study and Prayer with no time limit. We'll get started at 7:00 pm and go until we're ready to go home. Secret Church is based upon the meetings so many Christians conduct in countries where Christianity is against the law and persecuted. Bring some snack and drinks if you want. We won't stay too late!
Secret Church is ONLY for those in our Youth Group and older. There will be NO child care or nursery available. We understand this may hinder some of you wanting to attend so we're letting you know well in advance so you can make your own arrangements for your children. Please understand this is NOT to limit your attendance but to provide an adult setting for serious study and prayer.
